My wife's favorite Christian artist is Brandon Lake so, I tend to hear quite a bit of his music. And while I enjoy his music this song in particular has stood out to me and resonated with my since I first heard it. I quickly fell in love with this song and had to learn how to play it, that was almost a year ago. So, while I'm waiting on a few things in order to finish the "Graffiti" EP I thought I'd share this! "The One With The Beats" is a passion project song for me. I have always loved Metal and Hip-Hop, it has always been a dream for me to combine the 2 in my own way. I wanted to do something different with this song, and while it is not as technical as some of my other songs, I worked hard to create something that had quite a few layers. I used Soundation.com to create the base Hip-Hop styled beats and from there began to write multiple guitar and bass parts to lay over it, I feel the end result is something that everyone can relate to in some way!
